There is a procedure called IDET (Intradiscal Electrothermal Annuloplasty) for certain type of disc problems. The procedure works by cauterizing the nerve endings within the disc wall to help block the pain signals. This works for pain coming from the disc itself so it isn't a cure for all lurabar pain. You need to talk to your doctor and see if you are a candidate.
