What to do about young non planted wind damaged tree.?

My brother just brought me over a 10ft autumn blaze maple tree from home depot, but he didn't take in to account the wind in the back of the truck, left it uncovered and now almost half the leaves are damaged and wilting. I pruned the broken limbs but don't know what else to do to ensure the tree will survive. It's still in its 7 gal pot should I wait to plant it, or go ahead? What other care can I give the tree to help?
 
I'd go ahead and put it in the ground. Keep the soil damp for about a month and it should be ok.
Do it tomorrow.
Give it a drink before you go to bed.
