I guess people complained about 'idiot lights' instead of guages, so now Ford uses a thing that looks like an oil pressure gauge - but it only has two positions, zero and normal (in the middle).
So basically, its a binary indicator like an idiot light. It just tells you "oil pressure, yes or no."
Lately my truck leaves the needle in the "no" position for several minutes while the engine is warming up. maybe 20 seconds on a warm 60 degree day, up to 5 minutes on a 40 degree day.
I already changed the oil and filter, seems like a slight improvement since that. What else should I check? What do you know about this situation? thanks
