I have an immigration lawyer who has been causing me multiple pains and suffering as a consequence of his incompetence. I had a court date in January of 09 that reschedule without my knowledge because my date clash with something more pressing that the lawyer had to do that same day, as a result I wait another 11 months. After waiting all this time we finally go to court only to get reschedule another 1 year because the lawyer didn’t provide the court with all the appropriate documents. All this time I am paying this lawyer almost a thousand dollars for court appearance fees, all this time I am not working because I have no work permit, all this time my wife is the sole breadwinner (7 months pregnant and doing two jobs) I feel like this lawyer held me up at gun point and took my money from me. I don’t know what to do, I am not suppose to drive, cant get health inssurance, nothing to do but pray and hope and pay and hope...I am beyond frustrated! it has been over 2yrs since I have been waiting and because I am probably going have to pay him again for coming to court for something that he should have taken cared of the last time. Feel like giving up and just go back to my beautiful Jamiaca but, I dont want another man to raise my child... feel like I am doing time because I am unable to live freely, Please help!!!.. this cant be right, immigrants are people too
