We have a neighborhood dog, whom we named Spot, he's a mix between (we think) a german shepherd and a pitbull. My bf and I are in a dilemma between training him inside with our other dogs, or turning him over to the Humane society.
The problems are we don't know what shots or diseases he has/doesn't have, if he's going to destroy our house when we leave him alone, or will he even be trainable for inside.
But we KNOW we cannot let him live outside much longer because he sleeps at our door every night and roams the streets everyday. He follows my boyfriend to work, and almost gets knocked down daily. His owner lives down the street, and has told us to take the dog because he doesn't want him, and he's always covered in bruises, and cuts. We love him, but we just don't know what to do, it's been two months now. I feel bad, but I'm not sure if the Humane society will find him a home, or just put him down..
We need a third party opinion..what would YOU do?
