Mitosis is very important process.If there is no mitosis then what will happen?It helps to maintain the equilibrum in the amount of DNA and RNA contents of a cell,as well as the nuclear and cytoplasmic balance in the cell.Dead cells are replaced by newly formed cells through mitosis.It thus help in repair of the body.Mitosis maintains constant number of chromosomes in all body cells of an organism.These things are only possible only through Mitosis.
