What the...Why did my samsung flight just flash an SOS signal?

So here's the scenario: I went to bed, put my phone on the night stand and fell asleep. Next thing I know, I'm woken up by a super bright flashing from my phone, repeatedly flashing an SOS signal. I try to stop it, but no dice. The screen shows the AT&T power down/up screen and that's it. I can't shut off the phone, or anything else for that matter. Finally, I'm forced to remove the battery. Then all was back to normal.

WHAT THE FLIP?!? Let me tell ya, that's no way to wake up in the middle of the night! TOTALLY freaked out right about now!!

Any guesses?!?

The same thing just happened to me with my Samsung Flight phone. Flashing SOS and I couldn't make it stop without removing the battery.
