What the hell? or, What the Fuck?

They are kids who are so unusually cheery and happy that when the littlest things in their lives go wrong, they feel the need to cut. Basically, kids who were hugged way too much as children and expect life to be way too good.

Still, if any of my friends were like that, that would be it, i dont put up with their shit, "oh, my life is soooooooooo terrible", just because their parents wont let them go to a drinking party or something, its all bullshit.

If you would actually do that, then they wouldn't be your friends. What you would do if you were a true friend is try to help put their situations in perspective and help them feel better.

Man, how come all this fancy shit never happened at MY school ? I watched a guy get run over in the parking lot one day, and someone threw a Wendy's frosty on my windshield during a fight. Those were the most extreme things to happen.:D Kids these days. :thumbsdn: I should say PARENTS these days :mfinger:

i take pride in being the anti-emo emo kid..cutting has enver really appealed to me....i get depressed like everyone elsr but not so depressed that i wanna take a razorblade to my arms..most do this outta the wanting of attention...theres nothing you can do about it..you can try to help and it may work but odd are they arnt gonna stop until they get that attention....

it bugs me that they have the guts to cut themself (hell, i haven't), but have no will to against the difficulties they're facing (which sometime is ridiculous small, like got scolded)

Why don't you stop saying that they are your friends and start saying that you are their friend.

See all the emo kids are sad all the time, and all the punk kids are mad all the time. And the punk kids are mad at the emo kids and the emo kids are sad because the punk kids are mad at them. So, stop bitching and lend a hand. or stfu punk.

They cut themselves because the pain in their hearts is so heavy. The pain they cause to themselves through cutting relieves the pain in there heart. By pain in their hearts I mean their depression, their horrible feelings. They don't think about there problems as much. At least that is how it was explained to me. I could be wrong.

i've been in that situation. went through some really bad times in jr high/high school, and jane's right; sometimes the only way to relieve inner pain is the feel physical pain, get some endorphins flowing to elevate your mood, etc.

the observer also has a valid point: you do'nt like 'em, yet you're still their friend. do something to help them.
