What the hell is up with south park?

I've been watching south park for awhile now, and lately i've noticed that things that usually were shown have now been censored. even right now i am watching the fat camp episode and whenever kenny does something like eat vomit or shit, a black screen with elevator music pops up and says "the scene in which kenny eats vomit has been censored for your protection". what the hell is up with this? the same thing happens when randy shits out his mouth too. they never used to censor this at all and now its full blown censored. does anyone know why? i mean its not like they are saying ,muhammads name or showing him, its just someone eating shit. if so many people have a problem with this then why do they even watch the show? if you're gonna watcha south park then you should know what you're in for. so why is the show being ruined for everyone who enjoys the show because some people don't like its content? is it the FCC? and is there anyway we can stop this bullshit and finally enjoy the show again? this censor crap ruins some of the funniest parts. anyone know why this is happening and how in the world we can stop it?
