What is this crap I'm hearing about those stupid protesters burning the American flag over in Portland? (I think it was Portland) That is crap and really pisses me off. Besides, isn't it illegal to burn the flag? Or am I just being naiive?
 
I'm so surprised and amazed something so awful could happen in this day and age. They should all be declared terrorists and put into camps! They should be used in medical experiments! Those people should all be forced to serve in the Armed Forces so they can learn respect!

Burning a piece of cloth with the colors of the flag on it!

Well... they did help the economy though. They bought a flag, and whatever they used to light it, but still... They should have used Flag covered underwear, or toilet paper, or one of the hundred variations of that instead!
 
I thought The 1st amendment covered that. Freedom of expression.

That is why everyone is so mad JLXC. They bought the flag and the matches in England. TRAITORS!

They are ignorant assholes that are simply trying to get noticed. How else to get noticed than to be one of the few to burn an American flag disrespectfully with a nice little camera nearby?
 
They have a right to burn the flag. I may not like it, but I'm not going to impune their right to do so. Just like it's my right not to say "under god" when I give the pledge of allegiance (not that I have since junior high, but still)

As for flag burning, it is a sign of disrespect. Period. But they have a right to do it.

PS:

From my point of view, the flag stands for a lot more than our current government.

It stands for the mothers who lost thier sons for those stars. The children who lost thier fathers for those stripes. And the people who bled so we have the right to either raise the flag, or burn it.
