What test do you take to decide what branch of the military fits you best?

This may sound pathetic but, my mother told me their is a test you take to get into the military. After taking the test, if you score bad, the marines will recruit you, higher the army, even high the navy, and if you score amazingly the air force will try to recruit you. I'm not sure if it is actually a test or not, but if it is where can i find it?

There is a test. It's called the ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) but it plays a little role in what service you join. Which service you join is up to you. You go to a recruiter of your choice, they take you to MEPS (Military Entry Processing Station) where you take the ASVAB. The job you get in the military (Regardless of which branch YOU decide) will depend on the score you can achieve on this test... I hope this helps!

I don't think any such test exists. Each services has it's own standards they want you to meet, but that doesn't mean there is a test to indicate which branch you are better suited for.
