If each species evolved to be bigger and better than others, then why for example hasn't a different type of fish evolved to be bigger than the largest animal the blue whale? does something prevent animals from growing larger than a set limit? I have had a look and people say for land animals, they have to support there own weight, but this doesn't apply to sea creatures, so why isn't there fish the size of a mansion or larger?
What stops animals growing past a certain point?
