...Entry Program (DEP? I have two nephews both age 17...one will soon be 18...both in 12th Grade. They are both interested in joining the Army. I've heard about the Army's Delayed Entry program...how does that work and what steps do we take to get them involved. There are nothing but drugs and violence around their homes so I am trying my best to get them out of there before they get into any trouble. Can someone tell me the best route to take to help them get into an army program. We are in Southern California Los Angeles County.

This is a recruiter in Huntington Park: 323 - 585-1108

Call him/her and explain what you said here.

Be direct, ask questions (don't feel stupid), and make sure that your nephews' parents are on board with this (they must sign a waiver indicating it's okay for your nephews to enlist in DEP because they are under 18).

Any more questions, don't hesitate to ask :)

o i leave in southern california too i stay in Long Beach but you gotta talk to a recruiter and ask get them to take the asvab and the physical and you gotta provide proof that your nephews gonna graduate on time
