The data set is several thousand magazine pages that were coded as one of 3 categories. Each page fell into one and only one category. I want to test a difference in proportions falling into the different categories on two factors. That is, there are 16 magazines in total that have been subdivided with two fixed factors (magazine itself is random). I some access to SPSS.
What statistical test should I use? testing proportions over 2 factors?
