coursework)? Yeah so for my coursework we have to compare the two Vampire films Dracula (1931) and Twilight (2008). Now there is a part in my essay where I have to mention about the effects of each film and how they have developed since the 1930s. I'm tying to think of as many CGI's and Special Effects that are used in Twilight as possible, this may give me more marks.. Can't find them anywhere.. so this is kinda my last resort. The only one I can think of is the magic carpet. lol. Well.. thats it. If you can think of Professional names that would help so much more! THANKYOU!

Well, Twilight used ALOT more CGI than Dracula of course. Dracula was based more around the 'prop' effect and relied more on camera movements. Twilight had to use alot more CG effects eg. to make Edward sparkle in the sunlight, to make the vampires seem to have more defined features, and of course stunt techniques.
Green screen plays a huge part in movies today, as you can develop an entire CGI backdrop behind an actor in a studio, just by adding the image in on a blue/green screen. They may have used this in Twilight to make the backdrop seem more intense.
Computer techniques always take an image of a person to alter their features. In Twilight, they took an image of a character's face, added effects onto it and placed it back in the film, with alterations to the skin tone and shape, to make them seem more vampiric.

If you want to look at more professional ideas of CGI, the behind the scenes look at the Lord of the Rings is useful, as it uses SO MANY different types. Twilight used many of the same techniques as this.

Hope that helped.
