My fiancé and i are getting married in a few months and we cant decide on a song.
i like older stuff (my favorite band is the Beatles but he hates them)
he likes the newer stuff (anything past the 80s)
We had both agreed that I dont want to miss a thing by aerosmith was really good. but we dont want a song that goes on and on at the end, which that song does.
a little bit about our relationship:
its been out of the ordinary right from the beginning. we met and started dating within a week. we decided on being just casual while i was in the country (hes English I'm Canadian)... but it got serious really quick... when i went home i hated not being with him. we talked all the time, him getting up early and me staying up late or vice versa so we could talk longer. i was back in England 5 weeks later so i could be with him but still just agreed on a casual thing. but we got serious really quickly again. now hes moving to Canada with me after we get married. we have actually only known each other for nearly a year now but it feels like ive known him my whole life. ive never been as close to anyone as i am to him. he knows everything about me and i know everything about him.
so basically i want a song about meeting someone and knowing they are the one right away. it wasnt really love at first sight, but just a strong sense of comfort first followed by an intense love. but like i said i want a slow song that doesnt go on and on at the end. i want to know when to stop dancing
