What software do i use to capture images on a pc? Spy on a PC..Vista compatible.?

Im looking for a software to install into my lappy to capture images like every 5-10secs to observe whats going on..I did install 1 before but it crashed after a few days :( . I need a program to spy on my computer... Need some suggestions..Thanks
