effects and samples? I currently use PCDJ Pro and a Pioneer DJM 600 sampler mixer and have used CD and Vinyl in the clubs.

I want to have a go at producing a cd like the cut up boys do where they clearly use studio type software to produce their effects based mash-up style mixes.

I dont know what software to use tho that will enable me to visually sequence, sample, beat match and make sure things are in the right key and sound right and yet not be too hard to use or too expensive.

Also, how do they do the effects like repeating a acapella vocal over and over then stretching it and making it come in at the right time? Do they have it on a keyboard sampler and play it like an instrument?

I have never done any music courses, I cant read music or tell by listening, what key it's in but I can tell when something sounds right....or doesnt.

If anyone can help put me on the right track, that would be great.

I use Cakewalk pyro to burn cd's and have always thought that if you could just adjust the speed of the tracks using a BPM counter you could maybe do something with that.

I want to be able to put together the whole compillation with all the effects, samples, loops, cross fades etc and then save it as a track for burning to cd or listening to.

Also!! to lay acapellas over the top and adjust them in key and speed so they fit the track underneath... if thats possible!??
