I am desperate to earn decent money. I have a useless humanities degree and five years work experience but not in anything that allows me to be paid well. I live in London where rents are sky high and I am really depressed. Friends who can't string sentences together, nonetheless earn about £350 a day and more, because they either did a useful degree, or they are macho enough to do a mans job on construction sites (I am not man enough for this).
What constitutes decent in London? I guess a good start is about £40k at which point you might be able to consider renting your own one bed flat. Although even better would be hundreds of pounds a day like my friends. I cant really apply for any jobs above £28-30k (max) and previously earned less than this as I have no real skills.
What course can I undertake to get decent pay in London and that wont take me five years and thousands of pounds I don't have?
This is depressing me as Eric Pickles MP must earn over 80k and he's a fat bag of wind. Not that I begrudge him.
