what size mini bike sproket will make it the fastest [72t,60t and so on]?

questioned cannot be answered without knowing the amount of teeth on the primary (cog on the engine) you must know the ratio betweem the two, you compute this ratio. the higher the ratio the faster the acceleration but limits top speed (ie 5:88) This is consideded to be geared lower because of speed. A ratio of say 3:50 has less torque and accelerates slower, but will achieve a higher speed over a longer distance. Count the teeth on both sprokets to determine ratio, ratio means how many times the primary turns compared to the rear sproket.

If you decrease the size of the rear sprocket, the bike will go faster at the same RPM. The catch here is that you need the horsepower to be able to do this. I don't think a mini bike will qualify. The engineers put the best sprocket on the bike given its engine size. But hey, if you wanna play and experiment, have fun.
