I have 12lb fishing line and i have 25lb test line. I'm looking to catch halibut or anything off the californa coast form a pier, and also looking to try and catch some bat rays during the night.
I am new to fishing. I have only been twice, and today caught a small spotted bass, that was too small to keep. I'm looking to go tomorrow night for bay rays, and wondering if my 12lb is too small and I should switch to my 25lb test instead.
I'd prefer not to buy anything new if possible... thanks.
