What size dirt bike helmet do I wear?

I'm about to purchase a helmet online..don't see many stores near where I live..but I don't know if I need medium or large.
I've tried on my baseball hats and my sizes on those that fit best are 7 1/4 and 7 3/8.....what size helmet do you think I need?
 
If you don't already know what size you take then you really should not buy online. The helmet should fit firmly and it is important to have the correct fitting helmet or else it will not do its job. You need to have someone who knows what they are doing fit you othewise if you buy the wrong size you may as well not be wearing one. Travel a bit if you have to to try one on.
