What size battery do I need for my 1987 toyota supra?

Why not try this.

Walk over to your telephone.

Near this telephone most people will keep a book, many times it will have a yellow cover.

Find the pages with the heading Automobile then find the sub heading Auto Parts and Supplies - New.

Here you will find the telephone numbers to all of the automotive parts stores in your local area. Pick one of these stores and dial the number on your telephone.

There will be a nice person on the the other end of the line. This person will ask you some information about your car such as the year, make, model, engine size, etc.

Amazingly this person will be able to tell you exactly what battery fits your car.

Now, if you look back in the book where you found this telephone number, there will usually be an address.

Go to this address. Remember to take your battery with you. You will get to meet this nice person that you spoke to on the telephone earlier.

This person will be able to test your old battery to make certain that it is really bad. This way you won't waste money replacing a good battery.

If the battery tests bad this automotive parts store will usually have at least a few different batteries that will fit your car. They will also be able to take your old battery so it can be properly recycled.

Who knew that you could do all of this using an old fashioned telephone.

my solution..go to parts store..tell them what car they say here a 39 dollar 49 dollar one a 89 dollar one...i pick depending on how long warranty versus how long im keeping car and how much cash i have,,,,in cold area more cca..[cold cranking amps] is best...
