I am 6 weeks pregnant with my first and I have no clue what to eat or what I shouldnt eat. I'm gonna go buy 'What to expect when your expecting' but in the meantime, can someone help me out?

Will eating badly harm the baby? Will I miscarry?

I have that book, my mother gave it 2 me ... I'm also pregnant with my first, and we sound about the same, just stay away from fish an seafood, any deli meats you have to microwave before you eat! Jus try an eat healthy, remember... women eat mcdonalds all the time an dnt miscarry.... and then the cravings lol, I just try to space it out, I eat healthy ... and then I eat unhealthy sometimes... try not to worry babe, you an the baby will be ok! CONGRATULATIONS!

You need to make sure you get the basic food groups taken care of. A lot of calcium because the baby is taking most of it from you. I want to recommend a book that helped me a lot ... The Everything Pregnancy Book. Don't forget your prenatal vitamins.

Eat balanced meals. Try to stick to the food pyramid, and eat as many fruits and veggies as you can. Unfortunately the best planning does nothing to stop what you lose from morning sickness. Also, take your prenatal vitamins and folic acid. Drink 8-10 glasses of water a day.
