Untruthfulness plays a huge role in the protagonists ways. In Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry, Cassie portrays her untruthfulness when she pretended to like Lillian Simms, when she was only trying to get all of her secrets, and use them against her. Jonas also lied in The Giver at the dinner table. When he was asked if he had any dreams, he replied with a no when he really did have a dream, but decided it would be best not to tell. Bilbo is untruthful since he never told the dwarves about the ring, and said that he escaped Gollum, a small, mysterious creature who dwells in the caves of Moira, by himself. Finally, Dicey is untruthful when she claims she is a boy to Lou, a boy in almost the same position as she is, “Whats your name kid?” The boy asked. “Danny”.
Its an essay about comparing traits that the characters share. Just having trouble with the last sentence. Thanks.
