What should I write a column about?

I would like to write a column of general interest to the layperson. Q&A, while great, isn't my ideal -- after all, why not just come right here to Y!A?

I'm not interested in anything particular, and my column will be in a very "general interest" section. It will be nonfiction, so fiction isn't a good idea.
