What should I tell my husband to do, in order to dodge any future draft?

Every day I catch him looking up a military draft and trying to figure out if its coming back. I told him not to worry, But he thinks its coming back. He is always doing research on the draft.

He shakes in bed, and wakes up in the middle of the night screaming, sweating scared, that he will have to go.

He tells me, he wants to goto the doctors and try to get paperwork that he has an injury, just in case, i dont know what to do.

What can i tell him to do in order to dodge the draft, something he knows will work, that he will just relax?

The next time he crawls out from under his hiding place under the bed, advise him to head down and enlist in the Army, Navy or whatever. That way he won't have the prospect of a future draft hanging over his head.

The next question to ask yourself is "why am I married to someone so self-absorbed, and gutless that if the chips are down for you and your family, this guy will be gone."

Tell him to vote republican.

But in the meantime, serving ones country is something to be proud of, not something to be paranoid about (unless BO is your commander-in-chief).

My son served 5 yrs in the Navy, and he learned soooo much. As a life experience, it was great for him, especially the discipline he learned.

There really are worse things in life than serving in the military, but I don't foresee this country ever returning to the draft.

Chop off a few toes. But if he is so afraid to serve his country, I bet he is too afraid to inflict any real pain upon himself. So up his dose of booze each day. That will quickly destroy his liver and his ability to serve, and help him sleep as well.
