I am looking at the sb series 400 & 600 but I'm just an amateur and was thinking about the vivitar and bower brand. I'm not even that knowledgable on using a flash yet so what do i look for? What is i-TTL vs TTL and which should I get? What are some other things I should look at when i purchase my flash? I would really like to go with one of the cheaper brands just starting out. I don't even know where to start all I know is that I need more than my built in camera flash for dark indoor portraits and weddings.
