What Should I get?? Quad Dirt Bike??? Easy 10 Points!!?

I love to be outdoors. I am really good at riding my bike. I think that I want to get something like a Honda but not sure. Definitely something reliable. I want it to ride trails but not so much for racing. We like to collect Rocks so I probably would get a quad. I think maybe something with 4x4 and that is used. Maybe for around $2,000. (I know that isn't a lot of money.) But, I know absolutely nothing about this stuff. So what type of quad would you recommend? Or maybe Dirt Bike but, I would probably get a quad. Thanks so much. I will award 10 points for the best answer!!
I am 14 years old and 5'7" and 140 lbs if that makes any difference. I'm not a whimpy kid. So I probably could handle something big.
 
Quads are nice , but they are hard to get thru trails with. i would get a dirt bike much more fun , easy to handle and can go anywhere with it. The choice is yours. Good Luck
