I have to report to a county jail to start serving an eight month sentence on Monday, and was wondering what I should expect when I arrive. How should I be dressed for this? I have been told that I will have to remove my shoes right away after I arrive and that these would be taken from me. A friend of mine said that I should not have anything of value on my person and that I should dress in as simple clothing as possible. Does anyone know what will happen and what I should prepare for when I arrive?
