What should I do with the photos?

I have some really old family photos from the 1920's and 1930's. I've been trying to write on the back the names of relatives I know in the photos. However, some of the pictures I don't know who anyone is in the photos and I don't have anyone in the family who would know. I'm wondering what I should do with these photos. SInce no one knows who's in the pictures do this pictures have any real value. Also if so what should be done with them?
 
I agree, I think you should at least scan them to your computer and save them to a disc or something, so you'll always have them. You may regret it later if you just throw them away.
Besides, if you keep passing them down through the generations, they'll be even more interesting in 100 years.
