what should i do with my hair for a dance?

Try a half updo. Just take front pieces of hair from both sides (leaving bangs if you have any) and use bobby pins to fasten them in the back.
 
i'm a freshman in high school, today is our end of the year formal dance. i don't know what to do with my hair, i don't wanna just straighten it because it would be ruined really fast. my hair is a little past my shoulders. i don't want any fancy updos, just something kinda simple. pictures please!!
