What should I do with a 2.2409 GPA to get into a good college?

I attend a small AAAA (4 A) Texas High School, and I really want to get into University of Illinois and I'm a sophomore. But I am not currently in any extra activities, but my junior year, I'm going to be part of DECA and maybe YPWC (Young People Who Care). I'm in two Pre AP classes (English 2 and Spanish) and plan on taking AP English 3 and Dual-Credit US History next year.

What else should I do to pull my GPA up?!
