What should i do regarding verizon wireless?

My internet service is sometimes not reliable and can be down for half the day sometimes. Since I really need the internet for school and such, I decided to try out the Verizon Wireless hotspot for a backup. I went in to Verizon and asked them about the speeds they had. In my area, they only have 3G and didn't expect to have 4G until early next year if then. I wasn't sure how fast 3G was so I asked the Verizon guy about it. He asked me what kind of home service I had and I said I had cable internet. He told me 3G was comparible to that. I said okay and signed up for service. They told me that I would need to put down $125 deposit and I had no problem with that. After I got the item home and was trying it out for a couple days, I realized that it was no where near as fast as the guy had let me to believe. I gave it another couple days, then took it back to Verizon per their return policy. They had no problems taking it back but when I asked about my deposit, they said it would take 4-6 weeks to receive it back. When I asked why it would take so long, they said they I should feel lucky because it can take much longer than that. I provided them with my new address that I was moving to and told them to send the deposit there. It's been about 2 1/2 weeks now and I just wanted to check on things so I called Verizon yesterday. First off, they still had my old address, then they told me it had already been sent back to me, then they told me that the money would be applied to my next months bill (even though I had cancelled and that made no sense). I got frustrated and decided to try a new rep so I hung up and called back. The new woman I spoke to put me on hold for several minutes and when she came back, she said that it would be sent in 4-6 weeks. When I asked her from what date, she said that it would be from today's date.
I am so frustrated because I don't feel like I should have to wait so long for deposit refund. It was their rep who lied to me about how fast their internet was (when I took back the devise the guy who did the return specifically told me the original guy shouldn't have told me that) and it wasn't my fault that they didn't update my address when I asked them to. I am thinking of calling back and asking to speak to a supervisor and I'm thinking about filing a BBB complaint. I realize it's only been 2 1/2 weeks but I think I've been pretty patient up to this point. Thoughts?
