what should I do if a kid brought a weapon to a dance. ?

if a kid brought a weapon to a jr. high dance that was similar to a cork screw and threatened your son but you didn't find out till months later. And your some doesn't want to tell because he might get hurt. but you want to because your son might get hurt.
 
Report it to the police immediately and put your son in a different school or talk to the principal of the school and tell him your son won't attend again until the offending student is removed or a guard is assigned to your son for protection. That is absolutely not ok and that offending student needs to learn that before he grows up thinking assault is ok.
