What should I do about sports?

okay starting freshmen year i ran all summer and had an advantage over the guys who came in at the beginning of the year but its not at all too late for you to start. You may not run the first meet but by the middle or so of the season when you have shown your coach that your not going to just quit the team once it gets hard, you will be able to run in the meets and you won't be much behind the kids who ran over all summer.

i have to say you will be behind everyone else when first starting, and chances are your coach will have you run in the first race just to measure your progress.
just work hard and keep at it! it'll be hard at first because the workouts will probably be more advanced but do what you can and soon you'll improve.
good luck this season!

I'm starting freshman year in two days and I signed up for the cross country team. But since the school I'm going to isn't the school I was assigned (my mom is a teacher there) I didn't know we were suppose to train over the summer and everyone there when I go on monday for my first practice has trained all summer (except for like 3 who started last week) and I feel bad that i'm just starting now and they worked hard. Also, our first competetion is on sept. 14 will I run in it? Will I run at all this season if I train everyday (I have only started running yesterday)? Also, will it be really hard to start?
