We had been together for two years before we married 2 months ago. He told me all these things he was going to do and now he has not done any of them. He even made a list of things he was going to do when we got married. He never went hunting before and now he has started hunting. I never wanted to spend my later years (we are both 53) married to someone who is either gone or not doing anything but sitting on a sofa. I love him but I think I would be better off without the hurt of living with broken promises. Should I stay and invest all my time in my own interests and exclude him? This is difficult because I married for companionship and love.
