What Should I Do About My Car?

I have 1997 Elantra with 110,000 miles on it. Overall, I have put about $2,000 into it since obtaining it roughly three years ago. The car runs fine. There is some preventative maintenance that needs to be done, like the timing belt and water pump. I also noticed the other day that the oil is about a quart low. It's been about 2,500 miles since I last changed the oil. I know these engines don't last forever, and I'm just trying to figure what is the best route to take. I don't want to fix the timing belt and water pump, then have the valve seals go bad, or develop a bad head gasket, or something of that nature. I see these motors are pretty cheap on eBay; should I just find one with low mileage and have it installed? What would you do in my situation? Thanks..
