what should i do about my basketball coach?

I am on my highschool jv team. And 2day we had a game. Im not even going to get into how he plays favorites, cusses at us, and takes me out of the game for no reason. But i really got ticked off 2day when after the game i found out my coach was talking shit about me behind my back when i was in the game. They told me the coach said i was stupid and i cant do anything right just because the defender tipped the pass i threw but we still got the ball back. and i doubt they're lying because i think heard him saying something like that before. He cusses at other players but says it to their face. i dont get y he would say that. because its not true. And 2nd he should be a man and say it to my face.. I seriously had thoughts about really beating his ass and i hate 2 think like that because im a very positive person. (but that is just going to far to say that in my opinion.) A coach is somebody who is supposed to encourage you and give u criticism to help you to me... can someone give me some advice before i loose my cool?
