I currently live with my father and am 20 years old. I applied to attended ucsc next fall as a transfer student. I can hardly afford the fees at a community college, so I have no idea what to do about the university. My family is low income but my father is paranoid and will not fill out the paperwork to get financial aid. Please don't suggest that I talk to him because I have several times and he simply does not care. I am going to get married in April, which is after the deadline. One of my questions is if I get married before the deadline for fasfa, will I be able to file with my spouse? I will still be living with my father until July. I won't be able to go if I don't have the money. I know that I also won't be able to get good student loan without much credit or someone to cosign. I believe the better loans are given to those that fill out the fasfa as well. I really do not know what to do. Please let me know if my problem has any solutions.
