What should I charge for a freelance editing project?

The project is to edit and add copy to a 65 page ebook with roughly 18k words. The author is in need of substantive editing as well as for me to tailor the information to a specific audience (it is currently too general). The organization this is for is a start up and for a good cause, so I am willing to charge on the low end of the spectrum, but not too low. I have a lot of experience, but am new to the freelancing side of things. Any info would help!
