What should i bring to eat when camping?

im 16 and my friend called me up last night to go on a spontaneous camping trip with like 7 other kids. She told me i'll have to bring my own food cuz her parents arent going to be buying food for everyone. Lol im not even sure if there is anything hot (fire, BBQ, stove, etc) to cook with so that rules out hot dogs and hamburgers. Also i dnt want to look like i went all out with the food, and not heaps expensive.
we're going to be there for like a full day and night. What should i bring?
