I found a HUD house that has been listed for a couple of months now. The fair market value is about 67,000 and HUD is asking $55,000. I low balled the first bid ($22,000) and my latest (third) bid is $35,000. The house needs about $10,000-15,000 worth of repairs and upgrades from what I saw. What are the chances of HUD accepting my offer? Do they look at how many times you bid on a specific house or property? I really want the house but I'm not willing to go over $40,000 due to the repairs it needs.
