I am currently looking for a roommate because one of mine had trouble making rent and couldn't afford to live in the house anymore. I just want to try and take every precaution necessary so that this situation doesn't happen again. I showed my house to someone yesterday and the guy said that he was getting help from financial aid to pay the rent and utilities. Is there any way he can show me physical proof that he has acquired financial aid? Also, is there any way he can show me proof that it will cover his rent for the nine months he would be living in the house? Is there anything else I should be asking him in regards to this situation? Thanks.
