What should be the clearance height for a 1997 dodge neon?

Looking underneath the car there is only about 5 or 6 inches of clearance. Even less if the car is loaded down. Is this normal for a dodge neon and if so is there anything I can get to raise it up a bit.
 
yes that normal height on most of those cars,the theory is on those the lower they ride the better they handle and that's very true,they also are more aerodynamic when they set lower to the ground,i wouldn't raise it any at all,it will destroy the ride of it,good luck.
