What RPG board game or card game should i get into?

teen who played yugioh 3-4 years ago. stoped playing because it just wasnt in anymore... i want to start up a new game. i was thinking a rpg board or card game like majic or wow? or for board like dungeons and dragons? is d&d fun, does it cost for alot of pieces or just buy a comlpete game. im not looking to spend a fortune. thankyou
