What preparation should one have when going to a photo shoot?

I am going to be fit for some clothes for a photo shoot taking place later this month... it is for a teen magazine and I think I should have some background info...??
I am a long time seventeen subscriber and have been to the headquarters before and gotten some snapshots but nothing too formal any tips?
