I didn't say a "direct" Democracy.
This is just a straw man argument from them since nobody claimed these things.
We get to vote in America, whether it's for bills or for our Representatives.
The more scary question is - why would far Right Conservatives be on a campaign to convince Americans they don't live in a Democracy?
(Any ideas? I've got a couple.)
A Democracy is a Country where you get to vote, for the candidate of your choice from the Party of your choice - period.
It doesn't matter what government system there is. A "Republic" is a system of government - that's a whole different question.
The only alternative to a Democracy is a dictatorship - why were they trying to convince us we live in a Dictatorship?
