Hey guys, I have a little dilemma what phone to choose/get vs rebate amount.. We all know phones depreciate just as fast or faster than a car does... From what ive seen the rest of the country pays much more for their phones than a large city with a "chinatown"....
I currently am on a family plan with 4 phones. Two of which are ready to be tossed to the garbage.. i am only willing to go for a 1 year contract as i dont know if the two phones i have can go for another 2 years.. one is a razr refurb and the other is an older sam e317 for one of the kids... both are unlocked..
My contract ended months ago with cingular.. I called up cingular to check what i can upgrade with them.. on top of an 18 dollar upgrade fee and the cost of over 100+ for a sub par phone, it is more sensible to either switch to tmobile or stay with cingular and use another name..
I just wandered into a store today and upon explaining, i was offered two slvr's for free, i would just have to pay the 35 activation for 4 lines, or 1 slvr and another razr plus 50 rebate.. i beleive this is for a 2 year contract though.. if not i could take crappier phones, and get a larger rebate amount..
I'm just wondering what my options are or if anyone else in nyc area knows what could be done if i were to go with a 1 year contract..
