What perspective should I write in?

I tend to write better in the third person in certain aspects, like I can write a good action scene with ease. Or describe the character's movements more to give it a more in depth appeal. In first person, I can describe how the character feels in my story, but not really anything else. I'm sort of stuck between which one to choose from. Any ideas would be of much help.

My story is about a seventeen year old runaway who is a prostitute. She meets a man that promises to help her recover her life from prostitution and bulimia. She agrees to his help, but one day he disappears, leaving a note that reads the story's title, " Dear Annaliese " on her door step. He gave up on her after a fight they had and ran away himself. Until a year later, when the bump into each other at a cafe--the same cafe they met in before--same kind of weather, just a year older and not as ill. Living the good life.

Sometimes I'm tempted just to write the story from both perspectives, to see where it takes me.
